Much of the most powerful and beautiful art was born out of history’s darkest hours. Join cellist Sara Sitzer as she explores the incredible musical culture inside of Terezín, the Nazi concentration camp for artists during the second world war. Following the presentation, a trio of Chamber Music on the Fox musicians will perform Gideon Klein’s String Trio, which was premiered in the Terezín camp in 1944. The trio will be performing on instruments from the Violins of Hope collection.
This is a Gail Borden Library event.
